Date: Wednesday, July 23, 2008
Time: 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Place: Featherstone Center for the Arts (in Oak Bluffs off Barnes Road)
All families are welcome to join us for a fun family picnic at Featherstone. Please bring a picnic dinner and chairs or blankets to sit on. Come rain or shine and have a musical fun time! If it’s raining, the concert is still on-we will be under the tent.
Volunteers are needed for this event. Please call Jen if you are interested in helping out, for directions or for more information at 508-693-7900 x 288.
Thank You
A big thank you to all the parents who volunteered and helped with the Children’s Day Celebration on Saturday, June 7th at Featherstone. A very special thanks to Kim Averill for organizing the parent volunteers, making flyers & keeping track of all the last minute details. The event was a huge success and everyone had a great time.
Join the PAC!
The Family Center would like to extend an open invitation to all parents who may be interested in joining the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) for the upcoming year. PAC meets once a month from September through July. Being a member of PAC is a great way for parents to team up with the Family Network staff in program planning, design, and implementation. While all parents are encouraged to attend any meeting throughout the year to express opinions, questions and concerns, the goal is to establish a core group of committed parents to create continuity and form a cohesive group that works together to make the Family Center the best it can be for all families. Interested parents should contact Jennifer McHugh at 508-693-7900, ext. 288, by September 2, 2008. Lisa Murphy & Nora Dyke - PAC Members & Family Network Parents
